What is Zapier?
Zapier links applications together: when something happens in one app, it makes something happen in another, optionally passing the data through an AI step on the way.
What it does well
Removing copy-paste between systems that will never integrate natively. New form submission to CRM record to Slack notification to spreadsheet row — built in an afternoon by someone who is not a developer.
Who should use it
Small businesses with several disconnected SaaS tools and no engineering resource.
Who should not use it
High-volume operations, where task pricing becomes the dominant cost, and teams with developers who would be better served by a self-hosted option.
